Horizon Line

Horizon Line is an avant-garde jazz fusion band based in New York City, known for its fearless improvisation, genre-blending compositions, and high-energy live performances. Led by saxophonist Aaron Mead, the group also features Tanzanite Chen on guitar, Ronan McKinnon on bass, and Russell Markey on drums. Drawing from the traditions of jazz, rock, experimental, and psychedelic music, Horizon Line creates an immersive sound that pushes beyond conventional boundaries while remaining deeply expressive and collaborative. The band has performed at, Shrine Harlem, The Bowery Electric, Rockwood Music Hall, and The PINKfrog Cafe, steadily building a reputation for their dynamic shows and original voice in the modern jazz scene.
